VXR8 TUNING OPTIONS

An evolution of the VZ Monaro the Vauxhall VXR8 is a formidable platform boasting huge potential for tuning.  Inheriting it's roots from HSV in Australia and GM Chevrolet in the USA, the chassis and power unit combined present a complete base package for any car enthusiast to start.  

At the heart of VE Series I through to VF variants is the GM E38 ECU, a highly tunable and configurable control unit for LS2/LS3 engines and 6L80 Transmissions.  Stage 1 tuning delivers a great entry level 'state of tune' for standard cars or mildly modified cars (improvements to intake (CAI) and exhausts i.e. CAT-Back, Sports CAT, Headers).  

With more serious upgrades (often referred to as bolt on's), in order to realise maximum performance benefits a 'Stage 2' level of tuning is essential.  This accurately dials in fuel and ignition requirements - literally unlocking your VXR8's full potential.  Stage 2 takes full advantage of greater engine breathing capability your LS powerplant now has as a result of upgrades to Cam, Heads, Exhaust, Meticulous Engine Blueprinting, Setup & Assembly etc...
